I hope your family had an enjoyable spring break and are ready for the last few weeks of school. I have a few important issues to bring to your attention:

We planned this schedule to give the students some break in-between tests to keep them fresh and ready to do their best.

 

The third progress report will be sent home this Friday 4/25. Please review it carefully and contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions about your child’s progress.

 

For accreditation, the feedback of all the school stakeholders is important. I want to thank you for your participation in the survey that was sent last month. Alhamdullilah we received 173 responses from our families. We are in the process of finalizing the analysis and share it with you. The school will hold an informative session on the WASC accreditation process on Wednesday 4/30/08 from 12:00 to 1:00pm in the school library. I would like to invite all the parents to take part in this important task for our school. During the WASC process we will plan where Granada will be in the following six years. Join us!

 

I would like to remind you that the week of May 5^th is dedicated to Teacher Appreciation at GIS. Join us in acknowledging the wonderful work that our teachers have put forth this year. Our teachers are our greatest assets, may Allah reward and bless them and bless their families for all they do for our students. Remember, “feeling gratitude and not expressing is like wrapping a present and not giving it” (W. A. Ward).
