The course of study at Granada consists of three main parts:

  1. Academic Subjects: English language arts. math, science and social studies. These subjects are based on Common Core Standards. Students spend about 60% of school instructional time on these academic subjects.

  2. Islamic Education: Quran, Arabic and Islamic Studies. These subjects are unique to Islamic schools. Arabic is taught as a foreign language and students are divided in levels. For Islamic studies, students use curricula developed for Muslim Americans. Students spend about 30% of school instructional time on these subjects.

  3. Enrichment Subjects: Computer science, physical education, and art. Students spend about 10% of school instructional time on these subjects.
